Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about image uploads, edited image storage, mobile use, modes, blur, metadata, watermarks, batch export, and assets.
Are images uploaded to the server?
In the normal editing and export flow, MistSeal processes the original image in the browser and does not upload it to the server. Login sync may store preset settings, not the image itself.
Are edited images saved by MistSeal?
MistSeal does not save the edited image on the server. The downloaded file is handled by your browser and device.
Can I use it on a smartphone?
Yes, but detailed layer editing is easier on a desktop. Easy Mode is recommended for quick mobile edits.
What is the difference between Easy Mode and Advanced Mode?
Easy Mode shows only the essential controls. Advanced Mode provides layer order, presets, logos, QR codes, and detailed export settings.
What is the difference between mosaic and blur?
Mosaic creates blocky pixels, while blur softens details. For sensitive text or numbers, a solid cover is usually safer.
Can EXIF or location data be removed?
MistSeal includes export settings for EXIF handling, but results depend on the image format and source file.
Can I add watermarks or logos?
Yes. Advanced Mode supports text, watermark, logo images, and tiled logo placement. These do not completely prevent copying.
Can I apply the same edit to multiple images?
Advanced Mode supports batch processing and ZIP export. Some features may depend on Premium settings.
*Note: Layout drift may occur when exporting images of different sizes.
How effective is the AI training deterrent feature?
While metadata tagging and noise patterns are considered to have some deterrent effect, it is a constant game of cat-and-mouse with AI advancements. It does not guarantee complete protection, so please use it as a deterrent and a statement of intent.
