What Nara Park and Naramachi is like

Kintetsu Nara is closer to the park, while JR Nara lies farther west. The park is large; allow real walking time from Todaiji to Kasuga Taisha.

The deer are wild animals. Feed only approved crackers, never touch antlers or fawns, and keep paper and bags secured.

Stations and access

Walk into the park from Kintetsu Nara; from JR Nara, use a bus if needed. Naramachi lies southwest of the park.

  • Ancient temples and sculpture
