Namba and Dotonbori travel guide: sights and a practical walking route
Southern Osaka's entertainment center links Dotonbori, Hozenji, Kuromon Market, Namba Yasaka Shrine, and Shinsaibashi from several Namba stations.
What Namba and Dotonbori is like
Nankai, Kintetsu-Hanshin, metro, and JR Namba stations are separate. Build a one-way route from your actual arrival station through Kuromon, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi.
In nightlife areas, avoid street touts and use venues with clear prices. Kuromon suits morning or lunch, while Dotonbori is livelier later.
Stations and access
Check the correct Namba exit for your railway. Ending at Shinsaibashi provides a metro return; JR Namba is west of Dotonbori.
