What Shinagawa & Tennozu is like

Shinagawa is more than a Shinkansen hub: the Takanawa side has an aquarium and Sengakuji, while Shinagawa Shrine lies toward the old Tokaido. Tennozu Isle is a separate canal district east of the station, so combine rail with walking rather than covering everything on foot.

Tennozu features warehouse museums, outdoor art, and canal promenades. Respect boundaries around offices, homes, and moorings, and check museum booking and closing days.

Stations and access

Shinagawa Takanawa Exit serves the aquarium; Sengakuji Station serves the temple; Keikyu Shimbamba serves Shinagawa Shrine. Use the monorail or Rinkai Line for Tennozu Isle.
