Daikanyama Area Guide
Walk through Daikanyama T-Site, Kyu Asakura House, Hillside Terrace, Log Road, and Saigoyama Park.
What Daikanyama is like
Daikanyama is a neighborhood for low-rise architecture, books, cafés, and walks along Kyu-Yamate-dori rather than major attractions. It is walkable from Shibuya, Ebisu, or Nakameguro, but the slopes make Daikanyama Station the best short-visit start.
Kyu Asakura House has public-viewing hours distinct from retail businesses. When photographing architecture, keep residential and shop entrances clear and avoid prolonged commercial shoots without permission.
Stations and access
From Tokyu Daikanyama Station, walk toward Kyu-Yamate-dori. Routes to Nakameguro and Ebisu include slopes; Log Road follows the former tracks toward Shibuya.
