Fukuoka and Hakata travel guide: sights and a practical walking route
Kyushu's largest city base connects Hakata Station, Kushida Shrine, Tenjin, Ohori Park, Fukuoka Castle ruins, and evening yatai by subway and walking.
What Fukuoka and Hakata is like
The airport is close to Hakata and Tenjin by subway, making arrival-day sightseeing practical. The old Hakata district and Tenjin-Ohori corridor lie in different directions.
Yatai are not guaranteed permanent stalls operating every night. Check locations, prices, and weather cancellations and keep alternatives.
